Cedric, “The Barber,” first began cutting hair as a teen in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. Although becoming a barber was always a dream of his, he went on to obtain his Associates Degree in Communications from Kalamazoo Community College (KCC) after graduating from high school. Even so, The Barber always knew where his true passion lay.
After leaving KCC, Cedric soon enrolled in A Touch of Class Barber College, and obtained his Illinois barber’s license in 2005. Having been under the tutelage of some of the most renowned barbers and hair stylists in the state, Cedric quickly landed a position at Roz’s Barber Shop on Chicago’s southside. It was at Roz’s that The Barber honed his barbering skills and perfected his command of the straight razor.
Believing that his straight razor could (and should) be used for good, Cedric has always made it a priority to give back to his community. In Chicago, he barbered at a long-term care facility for children with developmental disabilities. Here, in Seattle, he has volunteered his services to the Leonard Weaver Foundation.
Since he moved to Seattle and began working at the Good Hair Salon in 2007, Cedric has been introduced to the natural hair lifestyle. As a barber (and particularly as the Good Hair Salon barber), Cedric knows that the service he provides is not merely that of cutting hair. He uses his unique artistry to provide each client with a quality precision-cut that enhances each of their various personalities and styles.
Always classy kinky-classy… all the time.
